What it means to ‘heal’ when it comes to our mental health and wellbeing

Gemma has been on her own personal journey when it comes to health and wellbeing. As a high performance athlete being able to function at your best is the ultimate goal, so on the outside she ticked all the boxes when it came to health and wellbeing. However, on the inside it was anything but. This experience lead Gemma to experience the power of the mind-body connection. Suffering from chronic depression and suicidal ideation, Gemma also went on to get a stress fracture in her foot. Whilst this was by far the most challenging period of her life, it ultimately lead to where she is today. Having moved to Australia, Gemma went on to become a Mind-Body therapist, Kinesiologist and Embodiment Facilitator and launched her business GLD Space which supports people in creating space for people to connect to a deeper part of themselves, through 1-to-1 and group sessions and programs. In this talk Gemma will discuss:

- What it means to ‘heal’

- The power of embodiment

- Why we have to look beyond the physical to bring ourselves back into alignment.

- An East meets West Approach to health and wellbeing
